Detail of the 800XL schematic in Atari's 800XL Computer Field Service Manual (FD100740 Rev. 01, February 1984), section 5: the CD4051 multiplexers U24 and U25, whose outputs X0-X7 go through the 470 Ω resistor networks RN1-RN4 to the keyboard connector J8 (U24 to J8 pins 16, 15, 12, 17, 10, 14, 11 and 13; U25 to pins 6, 1, 4, 7, 2, 8, 3 and 5); the KR2 line on J8 pin 9 through R137 with R96 and CR5; the console keys S0-S2 on J8 pins 20-22 through R134-R136; and the joystick trigger lines through R132, R133, L23 and L30.
