Two-part diagram of a membrane keyboard trace repair. Top: plan view of a printed silver trace under its lacquer with a crack across it, the small scraped test spots used to narrow down the break, and the window of about 20 mm of trace exposed round the crack. Bottom: cross-section of the finished repair, with conductive silver ink bridging the gap, two or three single strands of 30 AWG wire laid in the ink, and a thin layer of resin over the ink and wires. Not to scale.
