Summary

[edit | edit source]

Two close-up photographs of an SNS-CPU-RGB-01 Super NES main board fitted with extra capacitors to reduce the vertical white line. Left: two 220 uF 16 V electrolytic capacitors soldered to the S-RGB video encoder, their negative leads joined at one corner pin of the chip and their positive leads taken to two other pins. Right: an electrolytic capacitor soldered across two legs of the 7805 regulator U12, beside the empty D1 (SHVC) position and the power-switch connector. RetroRGB's text says the 470 uF capacitor's negative lead goes to the regulator's centre pin, and the S-RGB capacitors' negative leads to ground pin 13 with their positive leads on the 5 V pins 6 and 19. The RetroRGB watermark is part of the original image.
