Exploded view of the Super NES controller from Playtronic's Brazilian service manual, with Playtronic item numbers: 23172 upper case, 23173 lower case, 23175, 23176, 23260 and 23261 the A, X, B and Y buttons, 23177 and 23186 the R and L buttons on two pins 23187, 23174 the direction pad, 23178 the direction-pad rubber contact, 23179 the two R/L rubber contacts, 23180 the A/B/X/Y rubber contact, 23181 the Select/Start rubber contact, 23182 the A/B/X/Y sticker, 23184 the assembled circuit board, the cord with its plug, and 91 the five screws. The parts list on the following page (4-3) names each item.
