File:Super NES longer silver screws and 62-pin connector (Nintendo ASC manual).jpg
Summary
[edit | edit source]Top view of a Super NES main board in the lower case after the eject lever, power switch and upper case have been removed. Red circles mark four silver screws: two at the rear and one at each end of the 62-pin cartridge connector. Nintendo's caption: remove the phillips screws, the shield and the 62 pin connector; the circles indicate the location of the four silver screws, which are longer; note their position for reassembly. Newer GPM consoles have a soldered connector and are not repairable items.
