Figure 16, "Section Isolation Flowchart", from Radio Shack's TRS-80 Micro Computer Technical Reference Handbook (second edition, second printing, 1982), printed page 63. The flowchart isolates a TRS-80 Model I that shows garbage on the screen at power-on, by cycling the power, removing DIP shunt Z71 and then the ROMs, and reading the resulting display (large colons, @9 characters). Rendered at 200 dpi from the archive.org scan and cropped to the figure.
