What this manual does not contain
[edit | edit source]There is no Specifications, Troubleshooting, Adjustments or Upgrades chapter, so the manual gives no speeds, timings, current draw or symptom chart for the drive, and it has no parts list or schematic.[1] Apple's electrical figures for the single-sided drive (500 mA at +12 V and 500 mA at +5 V) and the external connector pinout are in chapter 9 of the Guide to the Macintosh Family Hardware;[2] the disk format is in Inside Macintosh Volume II.[3] Both are summarised on the Apple 400K Drive page.
