File:PsionLX netBook Pro prototype Programs screen (Pulster).jpg

A Psion Teklogix netBook Pro fitted with the 256 MB development board, running Psion's unreleased Linux build (PsionLX), photographed by the German dealer Pulster for its sales listing. The listing's own caption, printed under the photograph, reads "Psion Netbook PRO prototype with Psion Linux OS installed."

The screen is the PROGRAMS view of the launcher. It shows 21 applications in four groups: OFFICE (Calculator, Sheet, Sketch Pad, Word), INTERNET (Email, Instant Messenger, Internet Dialler, Remote Desktop, Web), PIM (Calendar, Contacts, Files, Image Viewer, To-do list) and OTHER (Control Panel, Media Player, My Network, PDF Viewer, Solitaire, Terminal, Text Editor). The amber TODAY / PROGRAMS / TASKS tabs run down the right-hand edge, the Psion blockletter watermark down the left, and the bottom bar carries Desk, Docs, Email, Web, Word, Sheet, Calendar, Contacts and Other, with the card ejector, volume, battery and clock applets at the right.

This is the fullest view of the original PsionLX launcher known to survive. It is a hand-held photograph of a glossy panel with a strong colour cast, so colours read from it are not reliable.
