Summary
[edit | edit source]Close-up of the spindle flywheel (spindle pulley) on the underside of a Tandon TM100-2, showing the two strobe rings printed on its timing disk, labelled 60Hz (outer) and 50Hz (inner). Under mains-powered fluorescent light the ring that matches the local mains frequency appears to stand still when the spindle turns at 300 RPM.
