Football Pools With The Commodore 64
Football Pools with the Commodore 64 is a 1985 book by Frank George, published in London by Collins Professional and Technical Books (William Collins Sons & Co.) and distributed in the United States by Sheridan House. ISBN 0-00-383069-1.[1] The numbered pages run to 159.[2]
George, a mathematician, adapted a pools forecasting program he had written for a mainframe computer for the Commodore 64. The book lists it as Program F4, with a commentary, and explains the forecasting system behind it: three tests supported by tables derived from his mainframe analysis program ANALYSER. It also covers staking methods and the pools in Australia, Norway and Spain, and opens with a chapter on setting up the Commodore 64 and a short BASIC dictionary. Versions of the program on disk and cassette were sold by Bisprint of Chalfont St Giles.[3]
