The IBM 5100 Portable Computer Parts Catalog, form number S131-0599-3, is the fourth edition (November 1976) of IBM's illustrated parts catalogue for the IBM 5100. It lists the replaceable assemblies, subassemblies and parts released to production control on or before 1 November 1976. The scan has 48 pages.

Part numbers cited in the IBM 5100 Capacitor Replacement Guide:

  • Power supply assembly: 5564570 (100/115 V) and 5564569 (220/235 V), figure 5.
  • Old-style AC box: line filter 1860276, capacitors 1608347 (two) and 5252805, resistor 1608895, 5 A fuse 512137, figure 10.
  • New-style AC box: capacitor assembly 1608119, filter 1608101, fuses 512137 (5 A, 100/115 V) and 855252 (3 A, 220/235 V), figure 11.
  • Tape motor capacitor 5252836 (100/115 V 50/60 Hz), with capacitor-resistor assemblies 2451254 (220 V) and 2451258 (235 V), figure 8.

What this catalogue does not contain

Capacitors are listed by IBM part number only, with no capacitance, voltage rating or dielectric. The catalogue goes no lower than the card or assembly and has no board-level parts list. The A1 board logic cards are not listed; the maintenance manual (p. 2-15) refers the reader to the MAP binder, whose p. 050-0 gives their part numbers (File:IBM 5100 Maintenance Analysis Procedures 1608314.pdf).
