Machine code graphics and sound for the Commodore 64

From RetroTechCollection

Machine Code Graphics and Sound for the Commodore 64: Easy to Load Routines and Ideas is a 1984 book by Mark England and David Lawrence, published in London by Sunshine Books (an imprint of Scot Press). ISBN 0-946408-28-9.[1] The numbered pages run to 216.[2]

It follows the same authors' Commodore 64 Machine Code Master (Sunshine, 1983) and uses the same approach: each routine adds a new command to Commodore 64 BASIC.[3] The commands cover low-resolution screen and character handling (BANK, LOCATE, PLOT, CCOPY), high-resolution graphics (HSCREEN, HPLOT, LINE, CIRCLE, TEXT), sprites (SPRITE, SCOLOUR, ENLARGE, SHAPE) and SID sound (BEEP, CHORD, VOLUME, ADSR, FILTERS, PULSE, PLAY). The last chapter, the BASIC Extender, makes each routine a keyword in its own right.[4]
