Macintosh Programming Techniques 1996

From RetroTechCollection

Macintosh Programming Techniques, second edition, is a 1996 book by Dan Sydow (Dan Parks Sydow), published by M&T Books, a division of MIS:Press, New York. The title page gives it as "2E". ISBN 1-55851-458-9; Library of Congress QA76.8.M3S9582 1996, card number 95-51548.[1] The Library of Congress record gives the extent as xxv, 629 pages.[2]

The second edition revises Macintosh Programming Techniques 1994. It keeps the overview of Macintosh programming in C (memory, QuickDraw, windows, dialogs, menus, machine differences) and, compared with the first edition's contents, adds chapters on text and strings, Power Macintosh programming and the Finder. It was sold with a CD-ROM holding the example programs and the "In Action!" tutorial program; recompiling the examples needs THINK C, Symantec C++ or Metrowerks CodeWarrior.[3]
