Simulation techniques on the Commodore 64
Simulation Techniques on the Commodore 64: Practical Routines for Home and Business Use is a 1984 book by John Cochrane, published in London by Sunshine Books (an imprint of Scot Press). ISBN 0-946408-58-0.[1] The British Library record gives the extent as ix, 165 pages; the text ends with the glossary on p. 159 and the rest is the publisher's advertisements.[2]
Part 1 is background: the history and types of simulation, Monte Carlo, deterministic and Markov chain techniques, verifying a model, and a short overview of the Commodore 64's chips and memory for simulation work. Part 2 has five complete simulations with listings: financial trend prediction, product testing, project planning, simulating unknowns and real-time simulation. Appendix A is Simplespread, a general-purpose spreadsheet program. The foreword is itself a BASIC program.[3]
