The Power Of: Calc Result

From RetroTechCollection

The Power Of: Calc Result is a 1983 book by Robert E. Williams, published by Management Information Source of Portland, Oregon, and distributed by Prentice-Hall as a Spectrum Book. The cover says it is to be used with Calc Result Advanced and Calc Result Easy for the Commodore 64. The hosted scan is the first printing. ISBN 0-13-687773-7.[1] The numbered pages run to 192.[2]

It is a book of ten worked exercises for the Calc Result spreadsheet program, which was written by Handic Software of Sweden. The exercises are business and household applications: an accounts receivable ageing report, cost recovery, a stock portfolio, financing a home purchase, an amortisation schedule, a loan rebate calculation, a checkbook ledger, daily inventory, sales reporting and payroll. Along the way they show disk storage of worksheet blocks, DIF files, graphs and linking worksheets.[3][4]

What this book does not contain

[edit | edit source]

It is software documentation for a spreadsheet program. It has nothing on the Commodore 64's hardware; for that use the Commodore 64 / 64C Service Manual.
