Atari TT030 Computer Field Service Manual

From RetroTechCollection

The Atari TT030 Computer Field Service Manual is Atari Corporation's service manual for the Atari TT030, part number C302483-001, dated August 1991. The hosted scan has 129 PDF pages and a searchable text layer. Its first page is a German cover ("ATARI Service-Manual TT030, Copyright 1991 ATARI Computer GmbH"); the English title page follows. Printed page numbers start at the introduction, so PDF page = printed page + 7 for sections 1 to 6.

What it does not contain

[edit | edit source]
  • No component-level parts list for the main board or the power supply. The main board appears in the parts list as a sub-assembly, and the supply as a single Phihong part. The ST RAM daughterboard is the only board listed component by component.
  • No schematic of the power supply, and no voltage tolerances for its outputs.
  • The parts-list pages are faint in the scan, and some are hard to read.

What it settles

[edit | edit source]
  • The supply has four outputs, including −5 V, and is a Phihong PSM 5341 (C302074-001), rated 64 W.
  • The clock battery is a 3.6 V 400 mAh lithium cell, C301020-001.
  • Atari's text describes the coprocessor as a socketed MC68881, replaceable by an MC68882; the July 1991 schematic shows an MC68882 at U101.
  • The factory rework for ECO 1323 insulates fuse F61 and ferrite bead L601 from the supply's mounting foot.
  • Its schematic is a later issue than the separately hosted Atari TT030 Schematic, and gives a value at every capacitor position.
