Macintosh Revealed Volume Three 1989

From RetroTechCollection

Macintosh Revealed, Volume Three: Mastering the Toolbox is Stephen Chernicoff's third volume on programming the Macintosh Toolbox, published by Hayden Books, a division of Howard W. Sams & Company, Indianapolis, © 1989 (first edition, first printing 1989); ISBN 0-672-48402-1, Library of Congress catalog card number 85-8611. Technical review was by Scott Knaster. The scan hosted here has 614 pages.

The volume covers the parts of the Toolbox that the first two volumes left out: writing your own window, control and menu definitions, device drivers, printing, sound and desk accessories. The related-titles page at the front still lists volume four as "Programming the Macintosh II (forthcoming)" by Chernicoff and Geri Younggren; it was published in 1990 as Expanding the Toolbox.
