Programmers Introduction to the Macintosh Family 1988
Programmer's Introduction to the Macintosh Family is a 1988 book by Apple Computer, part of the Inside Macintosh Library, published by Addison-Wesley. ISBN 0-201-19254-3. The scan is the second printing, April 1988.[1] The Library of Congress record gives the extent as xix, 197 pages.[2]
The preface describes it as a technical overview for experienced programmers new to the Macintosh, not a programming manual. It picks out the Toolbox and Operating System routines a newcomer should learn first from the more than 900 available, and draws parallels with MS-DOS, UNIX and Apple II development. Readers who find the concepts unfamiliar are sent to Apple's Technical Introduction to the Macintosh Family first.[3]
