Coleco Telstar Marksman Documentation
No owner's guide printed for the Coleco Telstar Marksman itself has been found. The hosted document is the guide Coleco wrote for the Sears version of the same console: Gunslinger II Installation Instructions and Game Rules, for the Sears Tele-Games Gunslinger II, Model No. 6137SR, No. 75011, Guide No. 76872, copyright 1981 Coleco Industries, eight pages.[1] It shows the same six games, the same panel and the same 3-in-1 gun as Coleco's catalogue entry for the Marksman, model 6136.[2]

What this guide does not contain
[edit | edit source]No schematic, parts list, voltages, disassembly or adjustment procedure, and nothing on the game chip or the gun's circuit. It describes the Sears version, which takes one 9 V battery; Coleco's catalogue gives the Telstar Marksman two 9 V batteries or a Coleco adapter, and the Sears guide does not mention an adapter at all.[2][3] Coleco states that the device contains no serviceable parts and that opening it voids the warranty.[4]
