Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ Upgrade Instructions

From RetroTechCollection
Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ reset switch and R68 positions by board issue (upgrade instructions)
The leaflet's drawings of the Issue 1, 2 and 3 boards, showing C27 and R68

The ZX Spectrum + Upgrade Instructions is Sinclair Research's eight-page leaflet supplied with the kit that converted a rubber-key 16K or 48K Sinclair ZX Spectrum into a Sinclair ZX Spectrum+. It is undated; the hosted copy is a 1999 scan. It gives the parts in the kit and the conversion step by step for board Issues 1, 2 and 3, with drawings of each board showing where to connect the reset switch and the 22 kΩ resistor.

What this leaflet does not contain

[edit | edit source]

There is no circuit diagram or parts list for the board, and no repair procedure for the keyboard membrane itself; those are in the Sinclair ZX Spectrum Service Manual. The board drawings are simplified outlines for locating C27 and R68.
