Sharp X68030 Schematic
The Sharp X68030 Schematic is a 19-page set of Sharp's circuit diagrams (基本配線図, "basic wiring diagrams") and board layout drawings for the Sharp X68030 (CZ-500C and CZ-510C). It was printed as the appendix to 桑野雅彦 (Kuwano Masahiko), X68030 Inside/Out, published by SoftBank on 30 March 1994, and the scan comes from the Internet Archive item X68030InsideOut1994.[1] The captions are in Japanese. The scanned pages are about 4,900 × 3,400 pixels, large enough to read component values.

What this document does not contain

- There is no parts list. Values and voltage ratings are printed beside the capacitors, and some connectors, filters and crystals carry Sharp part codes, but the capacitors have no part numbers, series or temperature ratings.[2]
- There are no adjustment or test procedures and no test-point voltages.[2]
- The keyboard, the floppy drives themselves and the hard disk are not covered.[2]
- The power supply sheet is the tower model's UADP-0069CEZZ. The X68030 Compact (CZ-300C and CZ-310C) uses a different supply, the SH7, and is not covered.[2][3]
- On the power supply sheet, C27 and C28 are drawn with their + ends towards the −12 V rail, the opposite way to the circuit, in which IC23's output goes to ground. Fram, repairing SH4 supplies from the X68000 XVI, found the schematic's marks for C27, C28 and C31 reversed and the board silkscreen correct.[2][4]
Sharp's own service manual for the CZ-500C-B and CZ-510C-B is on the COCORO BOOKS store as a free electronic book.[5]
