The Macintosh Performa 5215CD is a model of Apple's Performa 5200 series, an all-in-one Macintosh with a 75 MHz PowerPC 603 and a built-in 15-inch monitor.[1] Apple gives the introduction date as July 17, 1995; EveryMac gives July 14, 1995.[1][2] EveryMac describes it as one configuration of the Performa 5200CD, with a 1 GB hard drive and a 4× CD-ROM drive, sold with a different software bundle and only in North America, at US$2,300 under order number M4107LL/A; it gives July 1, 1996 as the discontinuation date.[2] Apple's Service Source names the 5215CD on its cover and includes it in the Repair Extension Program.[3]

Apple's technical specifications give a PowerPC 603 at 75 MHz on a 37.5 MHz bus, 16 KB level 1 and 256 KB level 2 cache, 8 MB of RAM expandable to 64 MB in two 72-pin SIMM sockets (80 ns), a 1 MB DRAM frame buffer, 4 MB of ROM, a 1 GB IDE hard drive and a 4× CD-ROM drive.[1] The supply is rated at 125 W; Apple's battery entry is "4.5V alkaline".[1] The Power Macintosh/Performa 5200 and 5300 Service Source covers the hardware, and the full specification is on Macintosh Performa 5200CD.[3]
