The Apple Performa Plus Display is a 14-inch colour monitor with a fixed 640 × 480 resolution, sold for the Macintosh Performa range from September 1992. It is the companion of the Apple Performa Display, with a finer 0.29 mm dot pitch in place of 0.39 mm; Apple's Service Source covers both with one specification.[1][2] Apple's model number tag reads M9102.[1]

Apple's September 1996 service guide gives no discontinuation date for the Performa Plus Display, which by its own note means it was still available. EveryMac gives 18 July 1994 for both Performa displays and a price of US$400 for the Plus.[1][3]

Brightness, contrast, vertical shift, horizontal shift and the power switch sit under the front of the screen; H.WIDTH and V.HEIGHT controls are at the rear.[1]

Service

[edit | edit source]

Apple serviced the Performa Plus Display as a whole-unit exchange (661-0113 in the US), so its documents contain no board-level information.[1] The symptom chart shared with the Performa Display moves the display away from electrical equipment and fluorescent lights for a distorted, jittering or flashing picture, checks the ground cables, and otherwise replaces the monitor; it is reproduced on the Apple Performa Display page.[2] The CRT runs at 24 kV; discharge it before working inside the case, following CRT Discharge Procedure.[2]
